Why is TRANSFORM 2020 postponed?
AALU/GAMA has been closely monitoring updates, including the latest recommendation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommending no gatherings over 50 people, as well as the state, local, and federal government recommendations. To ensure the health, safety, and well-being of our participants, exhibitors, staff, and all those involved, we have decided it is the most responsible and prudent course of action to postpone the conference.
Will TRANSFORM 2020 be postponed rescheduled?
We are exploring a number of different options to host TRANSFORM at a later date or adding an additional meeting opportunity for TRANSFORM participants. We will let you know as soon as a final decision has been made.
We are also hard at work creating a virtual experience that leverages new technologies, increased educational formats, and more, to bring TRANSFORM 2020 Virtual and content to navigate this time to you and all financial security professionals worldwide. More information will be distributed soon, please keep an eye on www.aalu.org for more information!
What happens with my registration fee?
All current paid participants will receive a full credit in the amount that they paid for their registration fee at TRANSFORM 2020, which can be used for a future AALU/GAMA meeting through 2021.
Does any action need to be taken on my part?
No action is needed. You will receive the full credit in the amount that you paid for your registration fee at TRANSFORM 2020, which can be used for a future AALU/GAMA meeting through 2021. The AALU/GAMA team will also cancel your Capitol Hill Club registration and any meetings on Capitol Hill that might have been scheduled.
How do I apply this credit?
An email will be sent in the next month with instructions on how to use the credit and what upcoming meetings they can be applied to.
Will participants and exhibitors be refunded for hotel costs?
Participants and exhibitors must contact their hotel/lodging directly to cancel reservations. AALU/GAMA will not refund for hotel reservations. For anyone staying at the Marriott Marquis, you can cancel your reservation by calling this number, (202) 824-9200, or via your online confirmation.
Will participants and exhibitors be refunded for airline tickets?
No. AALU/GAMA will not refund individual airline ticket costs. Please contact your airline directly regarding ticket cancellations.
Will exhibitors and sponsors be refunded?
TRANSFORM 2020 exhibitors and sponsors will be contacted with further information regarding contracts if they have not already. Please contact, Ellen Devine, at devine@aalu.org if you have additional questions.
Will any sessions be made available virtually?
We are hard at work creating a virtual experience that leverages new technologies, increased educational formats, and more, to bring TRANSFORM 2020 Virtual to you and all financial security professionals worldwide. We will have more information about specific sessions and timing in the coming days. Stay tuned!
